CME on Know Your Anaesthesia Machine : From Basics to Advanced
The Department of Anaesthesiology, Sri Chamundeshwari Medical College Hospital & Research Institute, organized a CME and hands-on workshop “Know Your Anaesthesia Machine: From Basics to Advanced” on 28th May 2026.
The programme included lectures on the evolution of anaesthesia machines, anaesthesia workstations, vaporizers, circle systems, Mapleson circuits and breathing circuits.
Distinguished guest faculty, Dr. C.L. Gurudatt, Professor of Eminence, Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education & Research, Kolar and Dr. R. Selva Kumar, Former Professor & HOD, Institute of Anaesthesiology, Madurai Medical College, Madurai shared their expertise and practical insights.
A major highlight of the programme was the hands-on workshop comprising demonstration and training on Boyle's machine, modern anaesthesia workstations, workstation assembly and breathing circuits. Participants had the opportunity to interact directly with equipment and gain practical experience.
The CME witnessed enthusiastic participation from postgraduate students, interns and faculty members, making it a highly successful academic event.
