OVERVIEW

The Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme is a 5.5-year professional study for which graduates
receive degrees in both medicine and surgery. The course’s goal is to provide students with high-quality education and training so they may contribute to the expanding health and medical industries. The Medical Council of India regulates the programme, which lasts for four and a half years divided into semesters, and is followed by a one-year mandatory internship.

MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery)

MBBS, the Under Graduate Course offered at Sri Chamundeshwari Medical College, Hospital & Research Institute (SCMCH&RI) is recognised by National Medical Commission of India and is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru. This programme covers all Pre-clinical, Para-clinical and Clinical disciplines as mandated by the NMC guidelines.

NMC Recognised Eligibility Criteria For Bachelors of Medicine and Bachelors of Surgery

Indian Nationals category:

  • Candidate should have passed the 12th standard or equivalent exam and should have obtained minimum 50% aggregate marks in Physics, chemistry and biology (taken together) from a NMC recognized board.
  • The Candidate should have completed seventeen years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.
  • Candidates are advised to check NEET brochure for final eligibility criteria.

Foreign nationals/ Non-Resident Indian category:

  • Candidate should have passed the 12th standard or equivalent exam and should have obtained minimum 50% aggregate marks in Physics, chemistry and biology (taken together) from a recognized board.
  • The Candidate should have completed seventeen years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.
  • Should produce the following documents:
    • No Objection Certificate from the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi.
    • An eligibility Certificate from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru.
    • Student Visa
    • Residential Certificate
