Library And Information Services
The Sri Chamundeshwari Medical College and Hospital library is situated in the centre of the campus and features a fully air-conditioned large reading room, stack areas, department reference area, and e-resource centre with electronic information service, CD/DVD browsing service, and information display and notification. Both written and electronic resources can be found at the college library. The SCMCH Library has subscriptions to 375 titles, 32 journals, popular magazines, newspapers in many languages, 3,263 volume periodicals, and 32 magazines. The library uses a ‘Open Access’ model to run its operations. With the KIOSK system RIFD extension for self issue, return, renewal, and reservation system, SCMCH library services are entirely computerised. In addition to all of this, the department often hosts book exhibitions from international publishers to improve the students’ reading experiences.
