The M.D. General Medicine program at Sri Chamundeshwari Medical College, Hospital & Research Institute is designed to train medical graduates into competent and confident physicians capable of managing a wide spectrum of medical illnesses.
The course provides comprehensive clinical exposure through outpatient services, inpatient wards, intensive care units, and emergency services. Postgraduate students are actively involved in patient care under the guidance of experienced faculty, helping them develop strong clinical judgment, diagnostic skills, and ethical medical practice.
Equal emphasis is given to bedside clinical teaching, case discussions, seminars, journal clubs, and interdepartmental meetings, ensuring a balanced integration of theoretical knowledge with practical application. Students are trained in managing common as well as complex medical conditions, including chronic illnesses, multisystem disorders, and medical emergencies.
The department encompasses many super specialty clinics on weekly basis to expand and promote the health services.

Candidates from outside Karnataka State must get Migration certificate from respective State & Eligibility certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
