Poster Presentation Competition on Global Hand washing Day – October 15, 2025
The Department of Microbiology and the Hospital Infection Control Committee (HICC), Sri Chamundeshwari Medical College Hospital & Research Institute, Channapatna, organized a Poster Presentation Competition for students on Global Hand washing Day, October 15, 2025.
The event aimed to promote awareness on the importance of hand hygiene in infection prevention and patient safety. The students actively participated with creative and informative posters highlighting the “Clean Hands – Save Lives” theme. Faculty members from the Department of Microbiology and Infection Control Nurses served as judges for the competition.
Winners were awarded first and second prizes and all participants received certificates of appreciation. The event successfully reinforced the message that hand hygiene remains the simplest and most effective measure to prevent healthcare-associated infections, and reflected the ongoing commitment of SCMCH&RI towards quality and safety in patient care.
