Different types of biomedical waste were clarified, accompanied by light-hearted jokes to maintain engagement. The importance of hand hygiene and PPE was stressed, with student demonstrations adding practical learning. The dangers of mismanagement were shown through impactful visuals, eliciting thoughtful reactions. Waste segregation practices were discussed and demonstrated. Safe transportation and storage of waste were explained with real-world video examples. The workshop concluded with an Objective Structured Practical Examination (OSPE), where students practiced correct waste disposal, turning the exercise into a fun and educational challenge.

The workshop combined serious learning with light-hearted engagement, ensuring that students not only understood the importance of biomedical waste management but also enjoyed the process. The mix of lectures, group discussions, demonstrations, videos, and OSPE made the session dynamic and memorable.

The workshop proved that biomedical waste management is not just about rules and bins—it’s about responsibility & awareness.
