Inaugural and Orientation Program – SCCP, SCIAHS, SCCPS 2025-26
The Inaugural and Orientation Program for the new batch of students at Sri Chamundeshwari College of Physiotherapy, Sri Chamundeshwari Institute of Allied Health Sciences, and Sri Chamundeshwari Institute of Paramedical Sciences was held on 3rd November 2025 at the ACS Auditorium, located on the SCMCH campus.
The event began with an auspicious pooja ceremony to seek blessings and enlightenment for a successful academic journey, followed by an informative orientation session designed to acquaint students with the academic structure, faculty members, and learning environment—laying a strong foundation for their professional growth.
The program commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Yogesh, Principal of Sri Chamundeshwari Institute of Paramedical Sciences, who inspired the students with words of encouragement and vision. This was followed by motivational speeches from Dr. Roshan, Medical Superintendent, SCMCH, and guest speaker Dr. P. Balasubramanian, PT, Principal of RajaRajeswari College of Physiotherapy, who urged the students to pursue their studies with curiosity, passion, and commitment to patient care.
Dr. Santosh, Principal of Sri Chamundeshwari Institute of Allied Health Sciences, highlighted the diverse opportunities awaiting students in the medical and healthcare fields. Following this, all the faculty members were introduced, giving students the opportunity to meet their mentors and understand the department’s academic strengths and research directions.
Dr. Pravin G. U, Principal of Sri Chamundeshwari Medical College and Hospital, addressed the students and parents, assuring them of a safe and ragging-free campus. He outlined the rules and regulations to be followed during college life and offered valuable guidance on maintaining balance and well-being while navigating the academic rigor of medical education.
A detailed session on the curriculum for Physiotherapy, Paramedical Sciences, and Allied Health Sciences was presented by Dr. P. Vijayakumar, PT, Professor, Department of Physiotherapy. He outlined the program’s perfect blend of theoretical learning, clinical training, and community engagement.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty members, and students for their presence and contributions in making the event meaningful and memorable.
