Postgraduate ELogbook Orientation Programme

The Postgraduate ELogbook Orientation Programme was conducted on 27th June 2026 at the MEU Hall, SCMCH&RI College Block, with separate sessions organized for PG guides and postgraduate students by the Department of MEU.

The program was facilitated by Ms. Rakshitha, Associate Software Engineer, and Ms. Chitra, Software Engineer from iRecMan Software Services LLP, Mysuru. The faculty session focused on familiarizing PG guides with their roles in monitoring, reviewing, and approving entries made by PG students. A detailed demonstration of modules covering clinical postings, procedures, seminars, journal clubs, research activities, assessments, and attendance was provided, along with clarification on approval workflows and compliance with NMC guidelines.

The postgraduate student session emphasized handson training in login procedures, data entry, uploading certificates, and recording academic activities. PG Students were guided through modules for seminars, case presentations, journal clubs, and research documentation, with practical tips on tracking attendance and competency attainment. The facilitators addressed common queries regarding login errors,
duplicate entries, synchronization delays, and report generation, ensuring clarity on how to maintain inspectionready documentation.

The technical demonstration showcased navigation across modules, realtime data entry, and generation of departmental reports. Emphasis was placed on accuracy, timely updates, and secure record maintenance. Both faculty and students actively participated in interactive discussions, which helped resolve doubts and reinforced the importance of digital documentation.

The orientation program achieved its objectives by bridging the gap between faculty expectations and student responsibilities. PG guides gained clarity on monitoring and validation roles, while students understood the importance of accurate and timely logbook entries. The initiative marked a significant step toward digital transformation in postgraduate medical education, ensuring accountability,
transparency, and compliance with regulatory guidelines. Overall, the program strengthened institutional readiness for routine use of the eLogbook system across all PG departments.
