Seminar on Mental Health
On 15th November 2024, Dr. Harini K.C Assistant Professor from Department of Psychiatry, SCMCH & RI, Conducted a one day Seminar on “MENTAL HEALTH” at Bharathi College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, at Bharathi Nagar, Maddur.
Objectives:
1. To create awareness about mental health disorders.
2. To screen students for Psychological issues.
3. To emphasize the theme of World Mental Health Day 2024 “It’s time to prioritize mental health at work place.”
Around 300+ students and faculty attended the seminar. The students were briefed about various common mental health disorders, and misconceptions surrounding mental health were clarified. Students were screened for Psychological issues by standard screening tool. The session ended by feedback from students.
