Training Session on McGraw Hill Navigator Platform Conducted by MEU
The Medical Education Unit (MEU) of Sri Chamundeshwari Medical College Hospital & Research Institute conducted a training session on March 12, 2026, introducing faculty and students to McGraw Hill’s Navigator digital platform.
Organized as per the directions of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences(RGUHS), the initiative aimed to familiarize participants with this curriculum- aligned academic support tool mapped to the NMC’s Competency Based Medical Education (CBME) guidelines.
The in-person training and personalized tutorial session was scheduled for March 18, 2026, with structured slots for Phase 1 and Phase 2 MBBS students, as well as pre- and para-clinical departments.
Mr. Vasanth, an authorized trainer from McGraw Hill Education, led the orientation, which covered account creation, navigation of CBME resources,and the use of digital tools such as flashcards, images, audio-visuals, and chapter-wise content.
Around 40 faculty members and 300 students participated, with faculty receiving login access and students mapped under respective mentors to facilitate competency-based assignments.The interactive session allowed faculty to clarify doubts, suggest modifications, and understand how to assign validated learning materials, including free access to Access Medicine. Students were also provided login credentials to begin course assignments.
The MEU announced that a follow-up training will be conducted after one month to gather feedback and ensure effective integration of the platform into teaching-learning practices.
Overall, the session was well-received, marking a significant step toward digital enhancement of medical education in alignment with CBME standards.
